Port Ste Foy et Ponchapt is on the others side of the river to Ste Foy la Grande so you get some views of the town from the riverbank. Had a panicky quarter of an hour when we lost Peanut. She had somehow managed to get stuck on the wrong side of some overgrown fencing – couldn’t see her but heard the plaintive little whimpers. She seems none the worse for it despite being hauled over some barbed wire on top of the fencing.
Although it is the end of May the river bank shows how much rain there has been during the past weeks.
This church at Port Ste Foy stands on the Camino de Santiago de Compostella
