It’s 1st February and hazel catkins line the bank of the River Caudeau, a tributary of the Dordogne, at Pombonne park. Strictly speaking Pombonne is a tiny village a couple of kilometres from town but the park is one of Bergerac’s secret jewels and worth a visit throughout the year.
